Online Notarization with BlueNotary
What This Page Is For This page explains how your online notarization will work when using the BlueNotary platform. It outlines the steps, requirements, and expectations so you know exactly what to prepare and what will happen during your session.
What You Need Before the Session
1. Reliable Internet Connection A stable internet connection is required to maintain video and audio throughout the notarization. Please disable any active VPNs before beginning the identity verification process, as they can cause the credential check to fail.
2. A Device with Camera and Microphone You must appear on camera and be clearly visible. Your microphone must allow me to hear you clearly.
3. Your Document in PDF Format All documents must be uploaded in PDF format before the session begins. Please note: Certain documents, such as wills, may not be eligible for remote online notarization. I will review your document during Step 4 to confirm eligibility.
4. Valid Government-Issued ID You will need a valid ID for identity verification. Accepted forms include a Driver’s license, State ID, or Passport.
5. Ability to Complete Identity Verification BlueNotary uses KBA (Knowledge-Based Authentication) and other verification tools to confirm your identity. You must be able to answer the KBA questions and complete any additional verification steps.
